Karl and his crew are wonderful. Karl repaired a leaky valve seal, a shorted out fan component for the heating/ac in the car and replaced my spark plugs. The repairs were done in a timely manner and although expensive I didn't feel I was gouged. Great job at a fair market price. I highly recommend A Plus Automotive. An honest mechanic and a really nice guy.

I had an oil change and paid $60 for synthetic oil 4.2 quarts for my 2022 chevy spark. The people were nice. I was surprised that all I got was an oil change since my car sat for over an hour after the oil was drained.

They did not rotate tires, although there was plenty of time to do that! I am not sure if they greased the car. I am assuming they did not. The oil change took 2 hours, way longer than I thought considering my car sat with oil drained for one and a half hours.

I am from NYC and do not know one auto repair in NYC that would not have rotated the tires, greased the car, and cleaned the car as a courtesy. there was grime on the floor on the driver's side that I cleaned up. There must have been oil on the mechanic's shoes. I'm sure he did not realize it! They also did not reset my oil life switch to 100%.

While I was in there I heard advice they gave a customer about their car and it was not good advice. It would have been costly and only a band-aid solution.

I also just got a one-inch receipt. There were zero notes and I am sure they did not do a safety check because I watched them.
They are not rude people but at the same time, they are not much on communication. they stared at me when I asked questions.

Bottom line, It was an oil change done by people with zero personality! Zero effort into wanting to keep me as a customer.
I am sure from the answer they gave to the person about the struts that they do not care about negative reviews. So reading their response makes me realize that I would not return. The people at the repair place said I arrived early by 1 hour. That is not true! I arrived 7 minutes before my oil change appointment which was at 1:00 p.m. I a. They were talking about me wanting to make casual conversation? My questions were relevant to my car and why it was taking so long

Carl and the team at A-Plus Auto were able to get my car into the shop way quicker than anywhere in town. They subsequently diagnosed the problem (issue with Idler/Tensioner Pulleys on my Crown Vic) and had it completely fixed within 24 hours. The cost was extremely reasonable. Great job. 👍

I’ve known Carl personally for 10+ years and have taken my car to him multiple times for a wide range of different issues from oil changes to wheel bearings to radiator repairs. He has always been flexible and quick to get our rig in and I have never had issues with the work he has done. I’ve taken things to Jiffy Lube or Express Lube and had, literally rags left in my engine and flashlights left ON in crevices is my engine. ?!?!?!?! I always take my car to Carl and will continue to do so due to the great service I receive there.

We've used A+ automotive for years and have always been pleased with their service. My husband works out of state, sometimes for months. He trusts Carl to take care of the family's auto needs while he's away. I'd never let anyone else work on our rigs. He takes good honest care of my mom's truck as well. Came here the fist time when my wife's car developed a case of bad luck and needed a new engine. Carl was able to find us the best deal on a used, but good condition replacement. Price for everything seemed more than fair, and the car has ran smoother afterwards than either my wife or I could remember.
After this event, I had to have work done on my car for some loud noises while steering. A different shop (dealer I bought the car from) went as far as replacing the steering shaft, a wheel bearing, and one other item that has since slipped my mind. This did address some issues with my car, but did not resolve the noise issue that I brought it in for. $700 and some severe frustration later, I took the car to Carl at A+ and he quickly found that the power steering fluid was low. Simply filling it up eliminated the noise.
I have always returned to A+ after these events, but never for the same issue. The work done is top notch, the staff is friendly, and I know they have saved me a lot of money. A+ will continue to always be the first place I call when anything else comes up.

I had them replace my fuel pump and they didn't reconnect the hose. I took it back to have them fix their mistake and they charged me and called me a liar. Go anywhere else, these people are crooks. His response is a lie. It was over a year ago but they never reconnected the hose or put gas in it. Use them at your own risk.

Went in and had my car diagnosed for some problems it was having. They called back and of course tried to sell me a timing belt service which wasn’t needed, but would make them around 400$. Then proceeded to tell me the issue of my problem. I took my car, (which started to have more problems after I picked it up then when I brought it in) and went and got the expensive part they said I needed. I got the part replaced and the issue is still there. These guys are a giant waste of time and money. Dishonest or lack of knowledge, I’m not sure which one. The owner seemed nice, though I wouldn’t recommend these guys to anyone I like.
