Terrible experience. The owner cannot properly cut metal sheet, thinks it is okay to cover 2" x 8" gap with aluminum foil. When a part didn't work at first and he had to go get another one, he acted like he's doing extra work for me. It's not my fault the part he bought didn't work - it happens and is part of the pricing. Afterward, the system doesn't even work properly. It cannot bring the house below 77 F when it's 85 F outside. The house is at 78 F and I turned it down to 77 F, and the system would run for an hour without stopping. I measured the delta temperature before and after the evaporator (the part he changed) and it is 11 degrees F. Of course, he doesn't answer emails or calls after. Then sometime later, I found out he forgot to connect the condensation tube, so I got water everywhere. I screwed it on only to find out he didn't glue the exhaust tube, so rainwater was flooding the system as well. I glued it up. These things happen and not as big a deal to me except for that the system is not cooling properly and he does not honor his work by ghosting me.

The only thing I like is he teaches his kid the trade. It's the main reason (and how responsive he was in the beginning) I picked him in the first place. Wish that he had been better.

I want to say I am extremely impressed with the service Bill offered me. He was prompt with responding to calls, was easy to speak with and genuinely professional. He assessed the situation of replacement of an HVAC system in a complex installation scenario and was able to stay on quote.

His personable demeanor and vast knowledge was helpful and gave me the assurance the correct person was doing this job for me. He’s the last of a dying breed, so don’t hesitate to call him.

Thursday night -- my gas furnace malfunctions

Friday -- Because of my schedule, I'm unable to query any service providers, but I get a referral from a friend to several HVAC services, including AirTemp

Saturday morning -- The house is cold, I get to work trying to find someone who can come out in an emergency. I try several references but they're either closed or I'm put on standby.

I call AirTemp at 7:58AM and leave a voicemail. Bill calls me back at 8:30AM and tells he can be at my house within 30 to 60 mins. He's there before 9:30AM, and I bring him to the furnace and he's able to identify the problem within 10 minutes. (Ten minutes!). I need a new blower fan for the furnace.

Because I inherited an unusual furnace from the previous owner, so the blower fan took 5 days to arrive.

Wednesday morning -- Bill arrived at 8AM, and within 15 minutes, at most, he had the blower fan installed. However, once it was installed, he saw that I had a malfunctioning controller board. However! He was able to find a replacement locally within 45 minutes from when he left the house and returned, and had it installed in 5 minutes once we got back.

Bill was prompt, communicated & coordinated transparently, and did a great service for myself (and my family) in short order.

When I have the furnaces replaced and the ductwork fixed, I'm going to have him do it.
