Andrews Oil & Gas was the company I chose for our central air installation. I'm happy and cool. They offered a very competitive price, answered all my questions and did a great job installing. I would recommend them and they did a good job cleaning up as well.

It was a big job over 4 days and they kept us informed along the way. The electrical contractor Matthews Electric LLC they use is fantastic as well. It was the hottest days of the year so far with real feel temps of 105. The system cooled our entire home off in about 2 hours from 96 degrees and too much humidity. It's now freezing and the units are whisper quiet inside and outside.

I keep watching my electric meter and I'm extremely surprised how much it has not moved. They chose great equipment that qualified for EnergizeCT programs. If you have thought about getting central air just do it this is life changing.

Update 10/18/23: Andrews Oil did reach out to refund the charge at issue here. It was appreciated.

First off, Andrews auto charged my credit card for a service agreement (in fact the first time this happened they had charged us for what the previous homeowner had gotten without asking). Let it slide and made sure our autopay was just for oil delivery. We reached out with an issue we were having. After thoroughly explaining the issue and answering questions with their rep who answered the phone he said they would send someone over. After determining the leaking by our boiler was coming from the chimney and not the equipment they left within five minutes. Despite having a service agreement we were charged $155. We called and spoke with the owner who was extremely rude, but eventually agreed to refund the invoice charge. We decided to cancel our services with them and he said if we put in writing that we’d cancel, we’d be able to get a refund on the auto charged service contract that shouldn’t have been charged. After not seeing a refund and dealing with another rude call, the owner now said he’d refuse to refund. Highly avoid recommending Andrew’s. The only time we’ve had issues, both were not covered under their “service agreement”. A true scam

A horrible experience. We have problems with our boiler for more than a month; 6 visits, many parts were changed, multiple charges. A week ago a Bosch representative came and did some work, but today it became actually worse. Right now it is freezing and the boiler stopped working at all. When we called them and asked to contact Bosch again and have the same technician from the last visit to come the same day to check, they said we have to wait 3 days until next week. When we kept insisting they told us we "harass" them and they do not want to deal with us anymore.
Easy that way, it is our problem, start over , deal with it, live in a cold house - not their problem.
Do not expect professional service and help from them.

Update from April 2024. As Andrew's advised us the last time we spoke in January to "go somewhere else and not bother them anymore", so we did.
that was a "blessing in disguise", the new providers turned out to be much more professional and very friendly, cordial - no comparison!
in all respects. They did find the problem. It turned out the parts Andrews changed and charged us $2500 total were not that necessary to change, and the problem was somewhere else!..
lack of knowledge and expertise, and on top of that lack of humanity.
I guess the conclusion is obvious. if you want a bad unprofessional service and them yelling at you - they are your choice.

Would give more than 5 stars if I could! I reached out to Johnny personally with a water heater emergency that was affecting our business, on a Sunday while he was on vacation. He still responded immediately and connected me with Melissa. She got a technician out first thing Monday morning to diagnose the problem and try to order the part. They dealt with our indecisiveness as we tried to call around and see if anyone else had the part already in stock (they didn’t). We then went ahead and ordered the part with no issues, and Andrew’s went out of their way to pick it up the next day. Unfortunately only half the part was sent, not at all an error on the company’s end, and they still apologized profusely for the mistake. They again went out of their way to pick up the other half the next day and had the part installed about an hour after we opened. The effort, transparency, and communication were top tier, we couldn’t have asked for better. Shout out to Johnny, and Joe (the technician who fixed for us) and especially Melissa for facilitating everything and being so patient with us. We are forever grateful for your help!!

The technician was timely and professional, so this has nothing to do with him. We called for no heat, and the system worked on its own before the technician showed up. We kept the appointment to check that there is nothing else wrong. Nothing was wrong, but one of the thermostats was old and he recommended replacement. My wife agreed to change it, but I just checked the invoice and they charged us 3x the retail price of the thermostat. I called to get some credit, and the person on the phone refused to give credit because they would have charged me to go buy it if it was not on the truck, and they would not install a part that I buy. Anyway, I paid the money, but it is unlikely I will do business with this place after my boiler warranty runs out (BTW, they installed my gas boiler and hot water tank for over $9K in 2020, so this is not the treatment I was expecting).

I was not pleased with the service that was performed at my home. My initial call was to inspect my water boiler for a blower malfunction which was indicated on my device. After diagnosis was conducted, it was indicated that I would indeed need a blower installed. The following day once they arrived to replace the blower (not to mention they arrived with the wrong part) I was then advised that I would then need an entirely new water boiler installed due to corrosion. Then quoted over 8 thousand with a long list of parts to be replaced.

My initial question at hand was why would they be so many parts to replace if I already had a system in place? Then they also did not have any part prices indicated either. Also how could they not see the stated corrosion upon initial inspection....after arriving with the wrong part?

I then called another company who came out the following day and was able to fix the issue without replacing my entire water boiler and indeed just replacing the blower. The company I went with also indicated to me that my machine was not even put back together properly with stark plugs missing and screws being placed on the top of boiler.

Honest was not happy with the overall service and transparency. I usually do not leave post, but feel as though this was needed. Money wasted, for no service completed.

Shout out to Andrews Oil & Gas. Installed AC in lower level today, awesome installers, electrician and outcome! Previously performed checkup on central air system also a positive service. Over the moon pleased! PS: John in the office expertly scheduled installation dates and payment source. I suspect Sam (who visited the site and quoted cost) is the lead for all facets of the business and guides his employees well. Thankful for the outstanding services you provide.

Andrews Oil and Gas Helped me a few years back replace my Buderus water heater. Since then they have done maintenance on my system, Last night the heat went out and a technician returned my call promptly at 2:AM. They diagnosed a service call was needed and they were here quickly. The tech was professional and did an excellent job of explaining the issue and performed a thorough check after fixing it. Moving forward, I will use them for AC as well. We are very happy with their knowledge and service.
