Although being a gun owner for many years, I wanted to "brush" up on my knowledge and skills. Met Jim at Brown's a couple of days ago. He spent a considerable amount of time with me, explaining Connecticut's gun laws and spending an ample amount of time with me out on the range. I thank him for his experience and patience. I highly recommend Jim to anybody wanting to get their permit to carry or just "brushing up".

Looked like he has a descent selection. Started telling him things I was looking for and had a magazine in stock. Price was almost double what you can get online and when I said “no thank you they are half that on eBay” he replies “have a nice day” I said “I’m not don’t shopping” but at that point I just left. I haven’t been kicked out of a place in a while over high prices. Every pistol I like at was 20-30% higher than most places. Runnings is right down the road and I can’t see why anyone would drive past it to visit this store. First and last visit for me.

Wife and I took our LTC class at brown's. Awesome class and great instructor. Just picked up a ruger 10/22 for an awesome price. Don has tons of experience. I will be back again and again for anything I need in the future

Don is an honest and knowledgeable guy
He's straight forward and easy to work with.
Recently, I bought a gun from him and within 24 hours,I realized it wasn't for me.
I went back to Brown's and talked to Don.
Not only was he willing to buy it back, but he gave me full credit towards a new gun that worked for me.
Not many dealers would do that!
In fact, these days it's very rare.

The place cramped and messy, but Don and Jim are relaxed and polite guys. Seems like they have a decent selection of firearms available. I went through the NRA pistol course with Jim and it was a lot of fun.
