Posting this review to share our experience with Bob Carlson Heating after we hired his company.
We purchased a new AC and Furnace from Bob Carlson, and after one season of use, the AC unit was leaking all over our furnace room.
My husband reached out to his office, and his admin diagnosed over that phone call without any information that the leak was our fault as we had not cleaned the unit,
even though we used the A/C only one season.
The company came out and put 2 lbs of refrigerant in the unit- a brand new condenser and a closed system and replaced a coupling deeming it fixed. They sent sent a very large bill. The unit still continued to leak.
For almost 2 months, every night, we had soaked towel after towel cleaning up the mess.
With no additional effort to fix the leak from Carlson, my husband reached out to the manufacturer of the unit who guided my husband on what was actually wrong. He said there is zero reason why they would refill refrigerant or do any of the other remedies they were trying to charge us for. After we sent in pictures, the manufacturer said it was clear that when the unit was installed by Bob Carlson, they put in a plastic pan instead of the required metal pan for an oil furnace, causing the leak.
Months of water leakage, a new unit that looks many years old due to rust caused by a company’s improper install, and a company who continued to blame the customer for not maintaining the brand new unit.
We asked for the pan to be replaced, as well as the parts that were damaged from the leak. He finally replaced the pan, but refused to fix the damage unless we paid ‘for a cleaning’. We never hired them for a cleaning, and was clearly trying to unethically recover some costs lost.
No apology, and we have now proceeded to hire another HVAC company to fix his damage, inform the DCP of his billing for a service not ordered, and will pursue legal recovery for the loss.

Honest, dependable, Trustworthy! ....That's really hard to find these days. And they know their trade. They guy (john) that came out to fix my furnace was a real troubleshooter! not only did he thoroughly investigate the issue, he was up front with me about the cost. it's comforting to know there are still tradesmen who don't take advantage of customers.
I highly recommend this company!
