It was great honest service. Mr. Castillo you are the best!
It's nice to have someone explain to me my vehicle.
Thankfully I got the time frame without a car to fit my schedule.
If you want to have this type of service, the price is definitely more than justified.
Best piece of advice if your car is making a weird noise: try to record it.

This is a shop from HELL. Please do not waste your time or money at this place. I call the shop to asked him can he look at my truck because it was not accelerating, burning gas, and the RPM was going pass 3000RPM. He told me he was not able to do it today, so I came in the next day. I wanted to wait with my truck as I always do. He said it would take 3 to 4 hours, so I left. When I got there he wanted $165 for something I was not aware of.
He then go in on me stated, I wanted him to work for free. Then his wife also talking down to me. Stating you don't got no money. You should have never asked for services. Whenever you go somewhere you have to pay. She stated that I don't have money several times putting emphasis on it with anger. Now I'm trying to be cool because I was unaware of the charges and did not want to argue, and have the issue escalade. So I did not, I could have took my truck to nissian for that price.
I told him this was very unethical and as ower Joe or Jose you could have done better. He went down to $100 but I only had $50. He did not give me the diagnostic paperwork. I had to ask him for a recipe for the $50 I was giving to him. This is how hard up for cash this shop was. He would not write the receipt until I showed him the $50 dollars. I said why would I lie it's going to be a even exchange. Plus you still have my keys. He would write the receipt after he seen the $50.That is a money hungry company. He act like I'm going to take and receipt that only said I paid $50 for a diagnostic test. He gave me back my keys. With no information about my truck and think I'm coming back to get the work done after this. NEVER and mean NEVER EVER I should had went to this shop.
I came here because I don't have a mechanic and was hunting for one. He felt I was going to take it to a different shop and get the work done. And I have a right to price check if I choose.
It seems like these low life immigrants was hard up for cash and thought just because I was black and they was Mexican that I was looking for cheap or free labor. He was very narrow-minded and should not be in management. All of this could have been avoided, if he told me the diagnostic price up front. And to the two cent of a wife that he carry emphasizing that I don't have money. I'm a restaurant owner. And for the record learn some ethics and respect. Good for nothing immigrants.
I hope that $50 done you well. Anytime there are services being done the price is stated first. Let me decide if I won't the work done at your shop., and not just tell me at the end forcing me to do the work at your shop. I would NEVER go back to a money hungry shop. I don't mind paying for the service that was the point of going to the shop. I'm not racist by a long shot but his wife started it by emphasizing that I was black and broke.
I'm just glad I got my truck back after wasting hours explaining how unethical and disrespectful this place was. P.S please don't come here they are in it for the money not the services not the customers. I would have spent so much more at this place; because I like to keep my truck maintenance. There lost. Now I have to find other shop hoping it's a good one?

Mr. Castillo was very straightforward with what I needed and did not try to sell me anything else I needed, which is far too common for other mechanics. After he inspected my vehicle and got to work, his quote was very reasonable and was even lower than what I had paid before for the same job and parts. Highly recommend.

* Do not go here* came here for an AC RECHARGE which he stated would be $135 and he said that cost included the cost of adding coolant and making sure there’s no leak. But then he said that my cars AC was not working and I need extensive work to be done which would cost $1990. I took to another place for second opinion and this shop said there was no leak detected and filled my car with coolant/Freon and added a dye just i case if there was a small leak he missed all for $185 and guess what now my car has working AC. So please stay away from Castillo’s on grand ave. You should be ashamed of yourself trying to rip people off for more money!

So I paid this man to install TPSM sensors and he allegedly programmed them, they never worked. My mechanic programmed (he even told me they were never programmed)them instead when he was doing other work on my car. $60 up charge for all wheels taken out of my pocket. Their other shop is just as bogus they charged me $300 to swap my sway bars because this man said “it’s a difficult job” he was done in less than a hour. I did call before going there and he quoted me $90 per sway bar. They up charge a lot on simple things, thank god I know have a mechanic who charges very reasonable prices compared to this shop.
