This is my favorite plant shop in manhattan! Their prices are low, they can give care instructions, they can repot your plants, and they also sell pots. Their plants are very healthy. Plants I’ve bought from them years ago are still going strong. You can view their selection online, but keep in mind the prices on their website are higher than the in-store ones, sometimes by over half the price of the plant (the example I’m thinking of was for a 4” pot plant).

*the pot in the pictures is my own. I keep plants in their grow pots and put those in holeless ceramic pots. The shop does not condone this

Their plants are beautiful and they have such a wide selection. Customer service is also extremely helpful w any issue or concern. It feels great to support such kind business, that is also a small business. I highly recommend to make a purchase with them - plants make a huge difference in making your nyc place feel a little more calm ?

We first went to Dahing about 6 years ago to buy a monstera plant after a recommendation from a friend. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection and price of the plant, and the biggest issue was getting it home on the subway. Fast forward to today, that same monstera is THRIVING even after moving to Colorado.

Based on that, my sister and I ordered two plants (snake and ZZ plants) for our mom for Mother's Day, purchased planters for them, and had them potted. Delivery was quick and communicative, the plants arrived in great shape, and mom was super happy.

After buying plants from The Sill or checking them out in Home Depot, I'd definitely go here again for price and quality if I still lived in New York.

Tell me a better plant shop than this local one in Chinatown! No other shop can beat the value you get at Da Hing- let alone the variety and scale of plants you can take home. Have you seen a bigger Monstera Thai Constellation, Calamondin Tree and Alocasia Odora all in one place? On top of that, the staff are knowledgeable and efficient.
Truly a local favorite and a plant lover's dream~

Stopped by after researching good priced plant stores in NYC, and I was not let down. They have a great collection of plants, including some rarer ones. The rares are normal priced to be expected, but they had some ones I haven't been able to find in Philly for affordable prices. As with any plant buying experience, I plan on rinsing down my plant several times, spraying for pests, repotting and adding bonded systemic granules to the soil. It's always about vigilance when you're adding plants to your collection, because no matter where they come from they could have pests. Most of the plants here had new growth and looked great, but as always double check leaves and make sure the plant is pushing out new, good looking leaves. My only downside here was that the plant I bought had just been watered, and fell through the paper bag while I was walking - so I had to carry it by hand for an hour, not a big deal but was a little disappointing even though I'm psyched about my new plant.

i haven't visited the nursery in-person yet but i placed a delivery order last week and WOW!! i am FLOORED! i spent a little over a $100 thanks to their coupon code and got 5 beautiful, huge, healthy plants delivered to my door for free :') i'm so happy and even happier that the sale is over because i was going to spend even more money the moment i saw how beautiful the plants were haha
