Could not have asked for better service. Got my wives van towed there on Monday, and said they would be able to get it in Wednesday. Got a call Monday afternoon on the work that would need to be done and additional items they recommended. They were able to get the van back up and running a day before they even said it would be in the shop. Would highly recommend.

We were very pleased with the service you gave us on our 2010 Chevy Truck. We dropped the truck off to you about 12 noon Wednesday and said it would be ready for us to pick it up Thursday at 9:00 am.

I’ve done business with Ellis Automotive for years. I trust them to give me an honest assessment and fair price. This time, I had a broken front axle and they got it fixed faster than anticipated! That was especially nice since walking on icy streets in windy weather was getting old really quickly.

It would be impossible to say how grateful we are to have Ellis Automotive on the Kenai Peninsula, and specifically how thankful we are to Brant for the ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING customer service he has given us. Our neighbors recommended them to us almost a decade ago and they're the only people we let touch our vehicles.

Our Silverado died 10/2/24 at 60k miles and Ellis identified it as a failing transmission. Instead of just taking our money, Brant told us that we could save ~40% of the repair costs by simply ordering the transmission ourselves and having it delivered to them, so we did.

Chevrolet took a month to ship us the backordered transmission, and another two weeks of shipping, only to find that they shipped us a damaged part. Ellis informed us and helped us navigate it with the company. We received a replacement part, again with missing components, and Ellis helped again to get the right part ordered. It is now 1/28 and we finally have the right parts.

During this entire fiasco, almost four months now, Brant loaned us HIS PERSONAL VEHICLE as a rental and didn't charge us a dime. He has dealt with countless phone calls, emails, and delivery people just dealing with this mess for us, and he has been nothing but incredibly kind and helpful the entire time. Ellis Automotive, and Brant Ellis specifically, made what would have been an incredibly stressful time for our family reasonably bearable.

So let's summarize this review:
✓ Awesome shop with extremely fair prices and the only place we'd ever take our vehicles.
✓ Diagnosed a transmission issue for us quickly and inexpensively.
✓ Saved us $6,000, which Ellis would have been completely right to charge us, by telling us to just order the parts and have them delivered to them. Have you ever had a shop go out of their way to save you money like that? No, you haven't.
✓ When dealing with a parts order that they are not making money from, they dealt with three returned deliveries and screwed up orders from multiple vendors for us.
✓ Gave us a rental car, which I believe is a personal vehicle, for months just to keep our family out of an absolutely terrible position of being stuck without a vehicle in Soldotna during the winter, and they charged us nothing for it. During this time, we dealt with a death in the family over the holidays and a dog with failing health. We would not have been able to afford a rental car for this amount of time, and I don't know how our family would have handled this crisis without them unless we simply bought a new vehicle. Of course, every single week, Chevrolet would tell us the part would be there "next week", continuing to string us along while we relied on the generosity we received from Ellis.
✓ Easily the most friendly, professional people you can work with in the state of Alaska.

I say this as genuinely as a person could: trust Ellis Automotive implicitly and take your vehicles to them exclusively. Thank you, Brant!

They gave me great information on a problem with my truck while having the oil changed. They don’t perform that service or I would certainly had them do that also. They shared several different options on who could. I will definitely use them for any work in the future. I appreciate their work ethics and highly recommend their service.

Left the shop yesterday after having my transmission flushed and so far the shudder is not apparent now. Thanks for the great diagnosis of the problem and the work you did to fix it.

So amazing, I had to go on a long road trip and my charging ports stopped working, Ellis fit me in and checked everything out. I have working ports now and their customer service is excellent! They really went above and beyond to make sure my car was tip top. My co-pilot is extra pleased.
