Overwhelmingly positive experience working with Fire and Ice. Everyone from the office to Gary and the team has been prompt and professional. We bought a home with an older system and did not have great luck with other service providers before calling Fire and Ice. Since their first visit, I’ve appreciated their dedication to not only providing outstanding service, but also to helping us better understand our HVAC system and what to expect from it in the future.

I have been doin business with Fire and Ice for the past few years and have had an excellent experience with them. The office staff Emily and Shaina are wonderful to work with . They have always tried to accommodate my scheduling even though they are always busy. They are friendly and easy to work with. The technicians on their staff have always done a thorough job and are very professional. Kevin on his recent visit went above and beyond and helped discover some important maintenance items that needed to be addressed. Gary the owner is careful and thorough and I feel is very honest and straight forward. I have been very pleased and am comfortable recommending them.

I am a first time homeowner and wasn't informed about a bunch of stuff and I had an emergency call because my furnace was smoking... they came out and did about $2,000 worth of work before communicating with me completely... I scrubbed oil off my foot and furnace for about 10 hrs for me to turn it back on for them to tell me I needed to replace it in the summer. So I complained ..... last night my furnace wasn't blowing any hot air I called them 2 times over 2 hours finally got a call back and the employee wasn't very responsive told me that he would come out in the morning.... I called to ask what time they might be coming because I had stayed up most of the night with a fire going and was told that they got "rude voicemails " aka complaints and wasn't very nice and would be there sometime after 12.... i canceled my appointment

Highly recommend this company especially if you have a Google Nest or other smart thermostat!!! Kevin was very knowledgeable about these thermostats and how they work with the more traditional boiler and ac unit that was already in our house. We had a problem all of a sudden with the thermostats malfunctioning(no power to rh wire, then later issues with the common wire). Google customer service was a nightmare! You need to be very handy to say the least to be able to follow their troubleshooting over the phone, and it cost me many hours away from work to do all of this. I had a different hvac company in the area come out and they could not find the problem, instead they incorrectly diagnosed and recommended repair after repair when the previous one didn't do the trick. After they couldn't fix it for the 2nd time and told me it was something else, I thought I'd seek a second opinion elsewhere as I was fed up and lost all confidence in this company (they assured me that each fix would do the trick, it didn't). Anyway, after all of that frustration I called Fire and Ice. They said they had just the guy I was looking for. Kevin came out the next day on time and was a pleasure to work with, unlike the previous company that seemed disgusted that I had asked them to work on a Google Nest thermostat. Kevin jumped right in and found the problem within the first 30 minutes. Apparently the wiring from the ac and boiler to the nest was not installed correctly which lead to the base of the thermostat malfunctioning (my heat and ac fan would randomly turn on even when the thermostat said off) From there, he rewired my thermostat to the ac and boiler. It worked!!!!!!! I cannot tell you how relieved I was when I saw that both my thermostats were working as they should with the boiler and ac systems. Within 2.5 hours my hvac problems were fixed at a very reasonable price too! Something the other company I previously used couldn't get done try after try for a higher price. No more chances for them. Wish I went to Fire and Ice the first time! Highly recommend them for all your hvac needs!

I highly recommend the heating expertise and the supportive caring service of Fire & Ice. Gary is there in an instant should there be need of immediate attention no matter the time. Joe has been servicing my furnace annually and I appreciate his know how and efficient, friendly manner. The office staff can be a source of recommendations for other reliable technicians in the area - such as plumbing or chimney masonry. They are hands down a company that will deliver a professional job well done. I appreciate their presence in Granby.

My fiancé and I went to the Fire & Ice office on January 12, 2024. We went to one door, and were told to go the other end of the plaza and use that door. We walked down to that door to find it was locked. We then went back to first door down the other end to tell them the door was locked. We went back to the locked door and someone let us in finally.
We went there looking for information on a 2 head mini split system. After talking with someone there, an appointment was scheduled for January 19 to come look at the job. I told him, I was looking for bids on a Mitsubishi two zone system, and we discussed locations and measurements were taken. I was told I would hear of the proposal in a few days, but now over 3 weeks have past with no word, the job was given to another local business to do the job. If I am going to pay someone for a job ( and it is a sizable job ), I will not chase them to see if they want the job.
