I have to admit that this is my first time writing a review on any companies I have dealt with over the years. I felt compelled to write this review because I was so impressed with Bill and his team for their top notch services. They are easy to communicate and responsive. They are very competent and professional. And most importantly they care!! I was surprised to receive a follow-up call from Derek the day after he done the pipe job. To be honest I never had such warm experience before and didn’t expect it. I would also like to appreciate Scott for his wonderful work to diagnose and fix the heating problem quickly. Nowadays it is not easy to get a service for your heating/cooling/plumbing needs from a company with both competent and care and reasonable cost. Here is the company I have been looking for: Fontaine Mechanical and you won’t be disappointed, trust me!

We’ve used this company for biannual check ups on the central air for many years. I’m really disappointed this time. They did the initial inspection and maintenance, found the unit was drawing high amps, so they replaced a capacitor and filter (cost over $200) and noted that wires also needed to be replaced - no problem, they came and did that the next day for an additional $500. Upon finishing, they tell us he noticed it’s still drawing high amps and need to replace the motor, and that they’d give us an estimate later on. A few days later, they estimate it’ll be another $600. Got a second opinion, it was the outdoor capacitor and the connection wires to it, which were fried…not the motor. No idea how Fontaine Mechanical missed it considering these items were immediately next to the wiring work they had just performed. Seemed like they were just looking for the higher billing. The capacitor cost only $16 and took 10 minutes to fix - and upon installation, everything started drawing the allowable amps. Had we stuck with Fontaine Mechanical, we would’ve been out an additional $600, and the problem still would not have been solved. Our second opinion also looked at Fontaine Mechanical’s original invoice - a number of tasks that would fall under “standard maintenance” was never done. The outdoor unit hadn’t even been cleaned of pollen and debris. We had called last week noting our frustration with the recent service (especially given that we’ve been using them for years), and were told their service manager would call us back “early next week”…unfortunately “next week” is over and the service manager hasn’t attempted to call us back - thus the review.

Call Fontaine FIRST! After being told by a dishonest (or ignorant) servicer that my 5 year old heating unit needed to be replaced for $8k, I called Fontaine. A very knowledgeable service tech came out within hours and repaired my existing unit for less than $500. Highly recommend!!

I have used this company under prior ownership many times before and had a great experience. This time I hired them to fix a leak in a small bathroom. Was told that they will have to “Take out / Break” couple tiles under the sink to get to supply line to be changed. Then it turned out that it not the supply line but a drain and without telling me in advance, plumber broke out much more. He did not use a cutter to reduce the damage but instead used a crowbar and destroyed tile all around the opening he needed. He also cracked and chipped tiles on the outside of the cabinet. Now it is impossible to just cover the small/agreed on opening under the sink that I planned on doing with two spare tiles I have. I called the company and was told that I knew they will take couple tiles (which I did) but about the fact that opening is much more than that and about destruction of tile adjoining area outside of the cabinet nothing can be done by them.
The only options I have now are to replace cabinet to a larger one to cover destroyed wall area but that would require custom sized ($$$) one and would require plumbing work again and an additional expense OR to RETILE whole bathroom wall.
Update four Months later:
In January Fontaine asked me to take down original review and promised to take care of the issue. After three months they offered $200.00 toward purchase of new vanity and free installation. They know very well that Custom Sized vanity is close to $1000.00 and I already paid them $360.00 before I noticed the damage.

We hired Fontaine Mechanical in March to install a two zone central air system in our house. After meeting with three different companies to express our needs and wants, Fontaine Mechanical was the only company that gave us everything we wanted and offered more ideas to solve our heating issues as well. Our top concern was clean air since both my children have allergies to dust and pollen followed by cooling during the hot summer months. Fontaine discussed what systems would give us the cleanest air as well as ways to run the system throughout the year to keep the air clean outside the summer months. Fontaine also heard my concerns about the lack of heating we had and came up with a plan to re-plumb our baseboard heating and add additional heathers so that our same oil burner could heat the house more efficiently during the winter months. By combining both jobs together, they also saved us money because the same plumbers could do both jobs on the same day. The job took exactly the amount of time the quoted and the crew was on time and courteous everyday.

employs reckless drivers who drive without care for those around them. almost crashed their van into me after swerving over without a signal. i had to swerve and slam on my brakes. based off this experience i would never seek their services if they do not speak to their drivers. i’m sure the rest of their workers are nice and do not reflect their drivers.
