Failed on all fronts. There was a serious lack of communication, project management, accountability, integrity, and quality. This remodel started in August and still isn't properly finished. For starters- They didn't follow the blueprint resulting in damages to my new cabinetry and non functioning cabinets. Some of this they fixed some they didn't. They magyvered their own wall filler-with zero communication. We had to wait many weeks for damaged pieces to come in. Every mishap that happened (and there were MANY) They tried to spin it back around on the customer or lie to us about how damages occured. I'm sorry-who paid you to do a professional job? We had to manage this entire project ourselves. Example- we picked out flooring with our project manager present then when it came time to install-it couldn't be installed in the herringbone pattern that we had asked for day one. That was somehow our fault. We also had to call them out on constantly cutting corners. (One example- not installing drywall on a new wall they built. Yup-they stapled a vinyl wall panel on and tried to call it a day). They installed utility shed windows in my brand new kitchen, then lied to us about why they did. They constantly deviated from the plan with zero communication. Then when we would go to their office to get answers they would gaslight us some more. The ultimate gaslighting experience was when Jess was all out of excuses so she called the police on me when I visited the office for answers. Jess made it clear they weren't coming back (job abandonment)and "she'd get to the accounting when she got to it". Every interaction with her was unbearable. As a customer you were not allowed to be unhappy with their work because she would just accuse you of berating her and her employees if you didn't like their shotty work. We initially wanted an addition built but we shifted gears and decided to remodel the existing space. Girls N Tools refused to cancel and refund the design fee for an addition they never built. Jess also threatened to sue me for slander, and threatened to withold my refund if I didn't take down my pictures on the Internet exhibiting their work. I had hoped to support a small local woman owned business. Instead I supported a scam artist. It is quite mind boggling that they are still in business. I failed the assignment when doing my research. There is an entire FB group dedicated to the victims of Girls N Tools. Their work is sub par, and the entire experience was completely dreadful. Do not spend your hard earned money on these so called professionals. The owner can rebuttal all she wants. The proof is in the pictures. They literally did not enter my home without damaging something. They also abandoned the job without completing the final walk through or punch list items. Jessica is living in a separate reality from the rest of us. They made ZERO efforts to rectify any of their mistakes. As you can see from her response, this is how she rolls. No ownership, no accountability. She forgets who paid who to do the work- Far from professional; and lacking serious leadership qualities needed to run a business. She claims she will discuss any matters with us. In the picture you can see how she clearly states she's done. why hasn't she responded to emails or phone calls in weeks? Because she took the money and ran. Jess if your employees could read blueprints why were the cabinets installed improperly MULTIPLE TIMES? How about the hood that had to be reinstalled because you never told your employees to vent it outside and they weren't smart enough to figure that out themselves. How about the nails sticking out of the windows for week that were a serious safety issue that no one cared about. And the only reason we had to wait so long for materials is because Jess refused to put them on order for 6+ weeks delaying the project unnecessarily. She held our kitchen hostage for months. She held our money hostage for months. You do not want to enter any kind of relationship with these people

Used them for our bathroom remodel. She didn't listen to a thing we asked for, just did what she thought we wanted without actually talking to us. She came in, told her workers what to do and left. We had suggested making the middle accent a little thicker to make sure they weren't making tiny cuts of subway tiles for the tiles near the ceiling and my wife was told to "stay in your lane."

They wasted 50% of the shower tile (because the tile guy had never actually done tile and was left without supervision) and messed up the spacing of tiles on one wall (1/4 offset instead of half)(Wide angle photo is to show the offset screw up), left the protective film on the waterfall drain when they applied the tile, holes were left in the grout everywhere and I had to go through to fill them, and they said they cleaned the tiles/sealed the grout before they were done but the grout left all over the tiles made me believe otherwise.

When we complained about the tile offset, the owner refused to fix it and said we should have caught it before they were almost done. I shouldn't have to check on the progress every day to make sure you're doing your job properly.

I'm sure Jess will comment that her being pregnant is the reason she was so disrespectful, but the way her workers talked about her, it seems like that's her M.O. I'm also sure that she'll comment that she "waived" the final payment that was due, which was a whopping $200 out of the $7,200 total cost.

Absolute disaster.

Terrible communication from start to finish. No initial walkaround to establish expectations. No final check out before leaving the job site.

Contractor canceled the majority of the work due to lack of 'acceptable' materials, without my knowledge or consent (note: materials were recommended/sourced by Girls 'N Tools). The contract should not have been proposed if work could not be completed as promised.

Major work was left unfinished (installation of smart thermostat) but still charged for the work on the final bill.

Repairs promised as not-noticeable upon completion look absolutely terrible (see photos).

My son and I had to help install/mount my 77" TV because only one contractor showed up for the entire $2500 job over the course of four days.

This project seemed to be a complete afterthought for Girls 'N Tools.

Would not recommend (even for small jobs/maintenance) under any circumstances, whatsoever.

Update: 12/28/2025

Despite office manager Alex admitting that my request for a full refund was reasonable (see photo), I waited an additional week to be told that I would not receive a refund.

My son's new $100 Christmas sheets were also ruined (see photo); I received absolutely no response to my complaint regarding this.

Update: 1/5/2025:

I have submitted FOUR separate requests for an itemized list of labor and materials to Girls 'N Tools (as specified in bullet 21 of their Contract Rider) and have received ZERO response after two weeks.

Poor communication is one thing. Outright refusal to provide information is extraordinarily suspicious.

BUYER BEWARE. CHECK OTHER REVIEWS and BBB.
DO NOT use this contractor under any circumstances.

We had Girl ‘N’ Tools create an ensuite bathroom, add a closet and laundry room and remodel our bedroom. We were so impressed with their organization and professionalism. They always returned calls and answered messages promptly. They were good about communicating when workers would be coming to our home. They were great at helping us figure out how to integrate the new into our two hundred year old house. The workers were even considerate of our three dogs that were not always happy about having visitors each day. But we were most impressed with the final results. Our bedroom, laundry room/closet and beautiful ensuite bathroom were exactly what we wanted and so much more. We would definitely use Girl ‘N’ Tools again, if we require any further work.

What a wonderful experience and beautiful outcome! My kitchen remodel was done by a great group of people. Everyone who worked in my house brought a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that resulted in a kitchen that I love. There was a custom piece added to my cabinets (built by Graig and Tim) that is the envy of everyone that steps foot in my kitchen. All the thoughtful touches and care added up to an amazing result. The whole team helped me plan and achieve my dream…

I hired Girlsntools to finish a siding/roofing job that a previous contractor had abandoned. They did a fine professional job quite promptly and carried off debris from the previous contractor. They also helpfully supplied additional fasteners in case I should need them in the future. Their prices were reasonable, and they were very easy to worth with.

This company was amazing. They made everything go so smoothly and luckily because my job was so small they were able to just give me a quote without having to meet me there in person. The workers did exactly what I needed, cleaned up and left everything in a nice pile right by the door. They were excellent.
