This bank is super ableist. Their customer service is atrocious. I've asked at least a dozen employees what accomodations they offer and how to access them, and not a single one has been able to answer me.

Every single time I call, I have to expect to get sick because they will not listen and I will spend at least an hour on the phone with employees who are incompetent. I mean incompetent literally, they do not listen well enough to understand the question, then give wrong information. When you are understandably frustrated by this disrespect, they then treat you like you are horrible- they will ignore you for several minutes in chat, disappear on hold and not come back for over 20min, or simply hang up.

The ONLY employee I have ever spoken with at Global who actually cared is named Sebastian. Unfortunately, he too was not trained about accessibility, but does listen like a respectful human so he can help.

I banked with AKUsa before they sold out and never had any of these issues.

I have already been pulling my money to somewhere else immediately upon learning how ableist Global is.

Th Manager at the Homer Global, is the best Manager I'v worked with, he dropped everything he was doing, helped setup new account and transferred money from My account in AL to the global account and arranged were I counld have pocket money all in one day. thanks

I am very unhappy with the Global credit Union merger. I tried to call my local credit union ( formerly Alaska USA credit union)
To find out if they were open tomorrow 6-19-24 and after 12 minutes of waiting I was contacted to someone in Arizona who didn’t have the foggiest idea of Global credit Union in Homer Alaska. She couldn’t even tell me if they were open or closed tomorrow. UNBELIEVABLE incompetent business. !!!!!!! I’m so disappointed that we have lost out so much with this
Credit union business. Years of satisfaction GONE !!!

I've been with Global Credit Union (and, before the name change, AlaskaUSA FCU) for more than 20 years. I've had checking, savings, a car loan and a mortgage with them. Always great, personal service. Since moving to Homer (from Anchorage) it's been fantastic having a branch literally a short walk away. The folks at this branch are wonderful. Easy 5-star rating.

Came to Global Credit Union at the advice of my Real Estate agent. Agent told me they work quite well with agent to help buyer get a mortgage and work closely with buyer’s agent to make sure everything is in line all the way to settlement. So far working with Global CU has made my home purchase quite painless, even working 1/2 around the world from local branch.

Good people there. They're polite and very willing to help with whatever you need. I've never seen them behave as if someone was anything less than their most important customer at the moment. Great Management. No BS added with their services. Straight forward and makes sense policies. That's refreshing in Today's Climate. I say keep up the great work, Ladies Gentlemen.

It took me an hour and a half to get my banking issue resolved and truly the first 3 people I spoke to were rude and unhelpful. When I finally spoke to a manager they were very kind, competent and extremely helpful. Seems like first draft customer service staff need coaching on how to be nice and caring towards clients.
