I like old equipment from saws to tractors when ever I go in with a part that I need to match up they take the time to figure out what it came off . (as dealing with older stuff you don't always get model numbers. ) and I always get the right part. Not like some of there competition where if you have no number they can't help you. I give this place very high praise. For great customer service and attitude. I will forever be a customer.

OK, today was Echo's once a year one day sale where most of their equipment is 15% off. Normally the list price is the actual price and nothing ever really goes on sale (because the list price is a fair price), but that's somewhat beside the point, it just explains why I visited Grunder's today. The point is I bought a chainsaw that's also sold at Home Depot. It sells for $199 normally at Home Depot and also at Grunder's. That alone is probably a surprise to some people, that it doesn't cost more at the local place, but it gets better. They took it out of the box, put the chain on and adjusted it, put gas in it (maybe bar and chain oil too, I'm not sure), and took it out back and started it to make sure it was running well and good to go. Incredible. On top of that I got it for $169 today which was a steal, but even for the regular $199 price the rest of the year, Grunder's is a so much better choice than getting it at the big box store. You can support a local business and at the same time you are getting more. A lot more. And they will be there if you ever need to get it serviced.

Great guys at Grunder's! I bought an Echo chainsaw from them a few weeks ago and an Echo Backpack blower a few years back. Both times the equipment was full of fuel and ready to go. That is something you will not get from the big box stores. I highly recommend Grunder's .

Also, I've never needed service done but I hear great things about there service department.

I purchased an Ariens self-propelled walk-behind mower from Alan at Grunder's in Torrington on 7-3-2020. Unfortunately, the design of this mower with its high wheels in back and small wheels in front did not work for me because the front wheels are not aligned with the rear wheels. Upon explaining the problem to Alan and why this design didn't work for my application, he graciously agreed to allow me to return the machine charging me only a modest return fee. (To my knowledge, not many other dealers would take back a machine at all once it's used unless it were defective, and in this case, that really wasn't the case.) I gladly would have purchased a different model from him, but unfortunately he did not have the one that I needed in stock. I can't say how pleased I was that he offered to take back the mower despite it not being defective nor it being his fault. Alan's courteous gesture was greatly appreciated and speaks volumes about his character and what a great company Grunder's is. Thanks, again, Alan!

My husband called this company because it was the closest new holland skid steer dealer to get help on servicing his skid steer and because we told them we hadn’t bought the machine from their location after being asked Robert a man in the service department said he was not interested in helping us even though the machine is still under warranty and he is required to help us.
