Really enjoyed this place. Sitting in the Hot tub watching float planes come in is a must. We liked that our cabin had 2 showers, made logistics easier. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean - would stay again.

We stayed 3 nights in a great cabin. The location could not have been better with excellent views of the lake which is used by many float plane owners and tour operators. We enjoyed grilling burgers around the fire pit in the evenings and watch the planes return from the days adventures.|Thanks Sarah for accommodating our crazy travel schedule, your amazing homemade bread and for making our “Homer Odyssey” such a memorable experience!

Back in Homer, AK for a Halibut fishing trip and we were able to book a cabin at Homer Float Plane Lodge. This is our second time there and it is even more charming than the first. We watched float planes land and take off and enjoyed a hot tube and fire in the pit down by the lake. Thank you Sarah for making the visit so perfect! We will be back again. Cabin was very clean and well equipped with a small refrigerator and stove with pots and pans, dishes and silverware.

We got bumped up to a cabin which was very nice. Wonderful view and we enjoyed the float planes coming and going.... but not at unreasonable hours. Enjoyed the lakeside firepit most as the plane came and went. Lady who ran it was a delight, even helped us with a minor problem when we broke our car window by providing stuff to seal out the elements. Excellent location, just off the spit. If you are headed to Homer, STAY HERE!

We had a very nice stay at Homer Floatplane Lodge in July 2022. Our room was clean and comfortable and overlooked Beluga Lake, where a lot of Homer floatplanes are based. We enjoyed watching the float planes, and never noticed the noise. Also enjoyed watching the families of ducks and trumpeter swans.

When you live in Alaska, you are familiar with the fact that what is shown in the ads for places to stay is not necessarily what you get. We have seen some really great pictures of places and then said, "Is this it?" when we get to the destination, so we were a little leery about booking our rooms for out of town family in a place we had never stayed before.||||We booked two cabins and a lodge room. Because we were going to be there past 6pm, we called ahead to just to let them know. The girl on the phone chuckled, said, "No, problem! We will have the keys ready for you and see you in the morning 🙂 " Each cabin/room was a little different, and we had little kitchen areas which really helped with food costs. There was a little community gas grill available to us to grill out on, as well. The lake view was lovely. There were also samples of some local soap, shampoo, and hair rinse in each room, which got me hooked on them :)||||The next morning, my husband (a pilot) loved the float planes taking off, and I mentioned that we wanted to use the burn pit to make smores. The staff got us some fresh wood, and because they didn't have sticks for us to use, they went out of their way to grab a few branches for us and left them by the pit. I thought that was nice since I never asked for it or even suggested it. ||||The staff was very laid back, which we appreciated, and friendly, and we were happily surprised at how great the accommodations were. The location is not far from the spit and close to Safeway. The only thing I would change would be to bring a bathing suit with me next time to use the hot tub. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Our family of 4 (two adults, two teens) stayed 3 nights in one of the larger cabins. Comes standard with two twins pushed together to make a king, and a twin. They had already set up a twin cot for us, and the twin beds had cozy down comforters. Beds are upstairs, twins in one room, king in the other with a door between them. Stairs were a bit steep so if that's an issue this might not be the cabin for you. This cabin (The Brooks Falls cabin) also had two sets of bathroom facilities which was nice for our family of 4. There's also a mini fridge, microwave, and a set of dishes you can use. Also, main level has a couch, coffee table, chair. Plenty of room for a family. There's wifi but it didn't work very well.||||The corners of the cabin could use a bit more attention-a bit dirty, dead bugs here and there, a bit of mold on the shower curtain, etc. If you are finicky like one of my teen daughters this might bother you, but it wasn't a big deal to the rest of us, and it wouldn't keep me from staying here again. Also, there was no daily housekeeping. Not an issue for us, but just something to note.||||Staff is very friendly-gave us more towels when we checked in without us even asking, and also brought us plastic cups in case we wanted them. There are two chairs outside cabin door for sitting on the porch.||||We stayed here while going on a bear viewing trip with Emerald Air, which operates from here, which we highly recommend. But also a good location for Homer in general. Close to spit, Bishops Beach, restaurants. Enjoyed our stay.

So while our trip was sadly cancelled due to weather conditions, emerald air folks were super friendly and professional. I did a lot of research before choosing these folks as I wanted a float plane experience and I appreciated their safety first attitude with the pilot explaining why they couldn't make the trip. They helped us find an alternate provider who could land on wheels on the beach (cool, but not as cool as float plane).

They credited back my fees without a hitch. So I can't speak for the tour experience, but wanted to speak up about their professionalism. I hope to get back up there for this trip.

Note the office is now at 1344 Lakeshore drive.
