I recently had a great experience with Ideal Mechanical. I initially reached out to them about moving a two-zone mini-split system from my house to a rental property on the same lot. Rob came out promptly after I contacted them and gave me some valuable advice. He explained that the system I wanted to move was low-output and wouldn't be suitable for the rental, especially during very cold weather. He also mentioned that mini-splits aren't ideal as a primary heating source.

Instead of moving the system, Rob provided an estimate for removal. Since the house already had steam heat, I wanted to reinstall one of the radiators that had been taken out when the mini-splits were put in. Both Rob and Matt started the removal work, with Matt finishing up, also servicing another system already in place at the rental.

I was really impressed with Rob and Matt. They came across as honest, friendly, and knowledgeable. Their pricing was fair too - actually less than what other companies quoted me. It's not easy to find skilled technicians these days, so I was glad to have found Ideal Mechanical. Based on my experience, I'd definitely recommend them to others and would be happy to provide a reference if anyone asked

Started having issues with my old oil furnace in late January. My oil company did nothing to help, only offerred a quote for a new system.
The company that normally cleans my furnace did the same.
Called emergency service at Ideal on a Friday night, and got Silas. We talked and he came 8am Saturday morning.
He had half of the unit apart and found the boiler was caked with soot and running horrible. I do have a person come every year, but apparently they were not bushing and vacuuming the boiler.
Silas gets the unit running like it never has!
He did suggest the unit is super old (35 plus years of service) very inefficient, past its prime.
Replacing my furnace was always on my bucket list, so Matt gave me a few options for quotes.
A few weeks later, Matt's team came in with a new boiler, and swapped my old "Pinto" for a new "Ferrari"!
The new digital thermostats are cool too.
