Horrible First Impression!!

Found ad in Clipper Magazine, called and spoke to a woman and set an appointment for the next week for an estimate. Never got a confirmation call. When no one showed up at set appointment time, I waited 5 minutes and called just to confirm that someone was on their way. No one answered phone. Had to call twice. Finally someone called me back, said person who was supposed to come for appointment was unable to come because they had a concrete job that someone else didn’t show up for so my estimator had to replace their other no show. While I understand that things happen, zero communication is unacceptable. The woman who called me back said she couldn’t call me to alert me that no one was showing up for my appointment because she didn’t know the estimator was not going to show up! Then she asked if I wanted to reschedule, which I declined. If this is how they try to earn business, I can’t imagine what you would get if you actually went ahead and hired them for a job. I also just saw a few other reviews where they were no shows as well. So this isn’t an isolated incident.

Absolute worst customer service ever! They canceled twice on me then they overcharged me when they came out. When you point out their mistakes, they project them back on you like you are the one at fault. She basically gave me a lecture about how I need to communicate with her next time, even though I made it very clear to her what I wanted done. I told her at least 3 times I have my own tractor and only needed them to come out once since the grass got too long and overheats my John Deere! Do not use them! They try to rip you off, then give you lip when you correct their mistakes. Very unprofessional woman behind the phone, Judging by other reviews I'm not alone..

I had an estimate scheduled for Monday, April 18th, 2021 at Noon, which was rescheduled only hours before the appointment, despite having rearranged my own work schedule to work remotely. THAN, we were rescheduled for yesterday, Wednesday, April 21st, 2021 at Noon and Dan was a NO SHOW!! I called at 12:15pm. to make sure we were still scheduled and was told by a frustrated female that she would check on when and where Dan was? As of this email I have not heard back from the frustrated female or Dan? Again, this involved me rescheduling my own professional schedule.

Why do you pay to advertise in the Clipper if you don’t want business?

Only one star because, when they DO show up, the grass gets cut and trimmed. A couple of times I found large gasoline spots on my driveway. They missed cutting appointments so many times at one point, I had to get another service. The other service charged extra for the first cut because the grass was so high. Each time I called they assured me tnar they would be out. Sometimes they tried to charge me when they didn't show. I got another service...So much better. I thought about trying them again, but I read the reviews, and it sounds like they haven't changed.

Owner is slow to respond and quick to make excuses. Prices would be reasonable if the company didn't double dip and lead to overages. Owner unwilling to negotiate after changing pricing without notice. Will not continue using this service and don't recommend anyone else use this company unless you enjoy getting ripped off

I have been with Kelly Landscaping for almost two years and after trying three other local grass cutting services. They come every week, weather permitting, and do a great job. If the weather does not permit, they are out there as soon as it allows. They cut, edge, trim and leave my yard looking picnic-ready -if that's a word. My only regret is not finding them sooner.
