I would not recommend Marcel's. My HOA arranged for them to inspect and clean the dryer vents and chimneys in my community, and we had a very bad experience with them:
1. Charged residents $50+ more than the agreed-upon rates, and continued to overcharge even after one homeowner caught it, warned the technicians, and told the owner it was happening.
2. Told me that they would tear up the check I gave the technician because it was for more than I should've been charged, and that they'd issue me a new bill. Instead, they cashed the check.
3. Lied about refund checks being mailed out - told us they were mailed out on a few different dates. To this day, no one has received a refund check in the mail so it seems they were never mailed out at all.
4. Told me the owner was coming to my condo to hand deliver my refund check on a specific date and time. The owner never showed up.

Finally, after all of the above, many phone calls by the board president, our property manager, and me, and over a month after the overcharge happened, the owner Venmo'd me less than what I was owed. After some pushing, he finally Venmo'd me the remaining money. I'm not sure if anyone else in the community has received their refund.

Don’t waste your time…these people never showed up for a scheduled appt to clean chimney and gutters. I called twice to complain..both times, I was promised they would show up next time. I used this company for years and was very satisfied, however, in the last few years they have circled the drain. Zero stars is what they deserve

I was told $190 plus tax for a cleaning of my chimney, fireplace, including the brick facing. They "cleaned" the brick with water and cloth. The chimney cleaning resulted in an incredible amount of black soot in our living room (see attached photo).

I agreed to reschedule the vent cleaning after the first no show. For the second appt I called the day before to make sure they were coming and called again the morning when they didn't show. After two calls, no show and no call back. Don't waste your time.

My HOA made a deal with these guys for dryer vent cleaning on a predefined set of days. I reached out and provided contact info for my tenant, and was told they'd reach out. Tenant never heard from them, and neither did I.

We spoke with Mark at Marcel’s and bought a wood stove based on him assuring us he could do the install. He did a site visit, looked at the stove and installation and confirmed we were good. He was also going to help install another stove. When time to install we get excuses multiple times. Eventually his brother comes out, but only to tell us that only Mark can install it. After many delays and excuses he declined to do the job. Buyer beware this company does not live up to promises or commitments made.

They clean our pellet stove vent twice a year. We have been pretty happy with their work. If something doesn’t come out right, they will come and fix it to make it right. Honest and on time.

I was on their schedule for gutter cleaning for months and they waited until Nov 29th to bail out on me. I find this incredibly inconsiderate and will not be calling them again or recommending them,
