I used to stay at the Moonlight Motel back in the late 70’s on business travel. I remember the rooms were clean and simple and the people were courteous and friendly. They must be doing something right because they are still in business. I remember the rooms were very reasonable at 14.00 a night. I might make a special trip through to rekindle some old memories. I remember my boss telling me that he wanted me to stay in a hotel that cost more so the main office wouldn’t reduce our budget. lol. Things were more fun back then, however we didn’t realize it. Edit, the site asked me when I went and the earliest choice on the website was 2023. lol. Not even close.

They shouldn't be charging more then $50 per night tops. I was told $80 but it was lowered to $75. I should have checked the rooms before hand. The floors are either swelled up so badly the bathroom door won't open more than half way or they are spongy n feel like they are going to fall through.
No phone no clock, no paperwork.
The girl seemed nice and the grounds were neat & tidy but that was it for anythinggood. I couldn't even walk barefoot on the rug it was so dirty. Just a dumpy place...what a shame because it has so much potential.

I stayed here due to a winter storm & not being able to travel home. I was VERY pleased with the hospitality of the owners & staff! The room itself was comfortable, clean, and had everything you could want/need.
It was kind of a last minute stay, but they accommodated me with a smile! Great price & great management. Would recommend to anyone!

I had passed this place during the week, and thought I'd give it a try on the weekend. It's a long cabin-styled thing from the early '50s. It has recently passed into Patel ownership, and it isn't aging gracefully. The owners were very friendly, and the rate was typical for this sort of place, $51.46 with tax. They did give me a space heater for my room, as it was very cold outside. Heat is otherwise provided by a small space heater type fan in the wall. The original bulky radiator unit is still semi-functional, but only the fan works. The furnishings are a little on the old side, and sort of beat up. The door had a big filthy spot where countless travelers have reached for the knob. Cleaning it would take 20 seconds with hot water and soap, but it's typical of the sort of details budget places on a slide will skip. The bathroom had no original fixtures, save the toilet and light. The shower was an old plastic stall with a badly painted concrete floor. There was also a very old TV on a wall mount, which made watching it while sitting at the desk easy. The old closet is now home to a haphazardly placed fridge and microwave. I like to stay at the old motels, but more and more of them are getting to be sad old relics like this one.

EXCEPT that the was lots of HOT & cold water I totally regret staying there. Locks on doors and windows were broken or didn't work at all. The guy who got me the key to the room had clothes on that looked like they hadn't been washed in weeks. I still decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. BAD BAD choice!

The manager is never there. the toilet stops up everyday into the shower. Internet sucks bad. Room is nastier than an outside outhouse. And the price is to high per night. And the manager dive discounts as other motels do for long term stay. This motel should not charge over $30.00 a night for the rooms. And for long term stay he should only charge a one bed room $150.00 a week and rooms with two beds should be $200.00 a week. I stayed there for about 3 months while there working from Jan 2012=March 2012. I was charged $168.50 a week and that wasn't a bad price but now my crew of guys are back there working and he is charging $255.00 a week. Needless to say, my guys are not staying there.

The owner/desk clerk has been extremely accommodating and kind. He's not always there, as he manages one up the road, as well- but is fairly decent about communication
