I had a great experience with NEAS. The job was to replace my AC unit with a heat pump, a split system (not a mini-split, but they do that too) that used my existing ductwork, and would also switch over to an emergency system if I lose power. I chose them over several other contractors, all of whom came by for a site visit, consult and a work proposal. Firstly, their price was very competitive. I was finally won over because Carlos was extremely accommodating in working through my design with me, answering questions and trying to work out a solution that best fitted my needs. The installation went smoothly. Carlos and Bob were both very professional and pleasant to be around. They got the install done in a timely matter, and were able to adapt to a few unforeseen wrinkles that presented themselves during the install. For instance they removed an old humidifier unit that was in the way, and they came up with a great solution to fitting the new air-handler into the old one's space. This was clearly not their first rodeo. The heat pump is working great, there have been no issues thus far. Also, bonus points for helping me prepare and submit my rebates.

UPDATE: Carlos and Bob installed another split system heat pump for a rental unit of mine. I had another great experience. The new unit is delivering quiet and consistent heat throughout the unit. The heat pump they installed a year and a half ago has been serving us well and has not had any issues.

I needed a new furnace because my heat exchanger had a recall. Carlos, gave me prices for a bryant furnace and a trane furnace. I went with a high efficiency furnace by bryant which is a carrier brand. It is easier to get parts. Carlos replaced the gas furnace in a half day. He put a special filter door so I don’t have to open the furnace to change the air filter. He replaced my old mercury thermostat with two modern digital thermostats by Honeywell. He also added dampers to convert a single zone into two zones. It has made a world of difference in heating cost and comfort having two zones. I only had the gas furnace replaced, but I will use NEAS again when I need to replace the air conditioning.

Just 3 days ago NEAS replaced my 23 year old oil burner with a heat pump system for both heat and air conditioning. Given the unusual weather this month we've already had the opportunity to use both and they work great!

The company came highly recommended and because I'm the curious type I watched the removal of the old system and the replacement with the new system from start to finish.
