New England Silica is the BEST! Ive been wanting to purchase an outdoor fire pit for years and finally purchased one from New England Silica. Customer service was fantastic and all of the employees I came in contact with were very knowledgeable and patient, especially Brian. They were very busy on the occassions that I went there but still gave me the attention I think every customer deserves. Brian was my salesperson who helped me pick out the perfect pit for my needs. I am a local contractor who has been getting more and more involved in concrete, pavers and stone over the last few years. Admittedly, I was a longtime client of Merwin Mason Supply in South Windsor, which closed recently due to the owner's retirement. Forced, to say the least, to reluctantly find another local masonry yard, I was very happy to find that New England Silica not only had an excellent inventory, but a friendly and accommodating sales staff willing to help my clients find the products for their next project. Liz, in particular, was fantastic in helping me make some snap decisions to find the right block to match a deck project at the last minute, and surprise a customer with a "birthday present" add on. While I don't make a habit of shopping only on price, I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was very reasonable, and not only that, actually lower on some custom items that I'd ordered elsewhere before. They have a variety of natural and man made stone, pavers and setting materials in stock, as well as customizable outdoor patio features such as fire pits (both wood and gas), grilling stations, storage, pizza ovens, hearths, etc. I made it a point to bring home a catalog for my wife, and now the only thing I have to be concerned about is trying to exceed her expectations!

After seeing the ad on TV my husband and I tried to go there for some information and pricing. We weren't greeted kindly...actually more like we were bothering our salesman. As soon as he found out we weren't dealing with a contractor he got even ruder. New England Silica - DON'T advertise your for walk-ins for the general public if you don't want us there! Went to Lowe's and was greeted and treated with respect. Oh and bought beautiful pavers. You loose!
