These folks get 5 stars! I have only been with them for a year and a half for propane services. Great pricing and service. Mary, very accommodating in the office, and Matt, a hard working trooper in the field. They both went above and beyond to help me satisfy an issue with my home owners insurance for what we all called crazy! Matt needed to come out twice and I feel he really didn’t have to. It wasn’t easy and he did it professionally. I felt like I was cared about as a customer. Also, hats off for the dedicated delivery drivers. Give em a shot, you shall not be disappointed!

5 stars goes out to “Matt” one of Petro’s Techs. He has always provided outstanding professional services to our home heating system and components. When our system requires normal servicing or in an emergency we always request Matt. We are never disappointed. Great job Matt. Thanks again.

They do deliveries but the online portal doesn't let you modify them. I had to pay back my $125 credit because I moved to a place without oil in under a year. A contract is a contract but, a rebate would be appreciated. Lastly, the delivery notification system didn't work very often.

EDIT: I didn’t have to pay the $125 back which, I appreciate very much!

Update 9/24 In addition to what I have written earlier (below), Petro just completed a major furnace/burner installation. They came out 3 times to survey the situation, then completed the work over a 3 day period. They just came back to tweak the system. All stages of this exhaustive project were attended to by competent, friendly professionals who left the worksite spotless each day. For me, service is everything and this is where Petro excels.

(an earlier review) Petro Home Services has provided exceptionally high quality home heating service. I have been a customer for over 20 years and, because of their Service Department, plan on staying. They have done a few major projects for me, too.

Started off great, then they doubled my payments and refused to fill my tank during an emergency. Inhumane really. They’re good to rope you in, then taken advantage of you. When I needed help they offered nothing but a 10% fee to add to my burden. Never again.

No issues since signing up with Petro. The staff have been very helpful and kind every time, unlike other oil companies who tend to come off rude and as if you are a bother when you contact them. Recently made a service call for my home due to hot water boiler beginning to drip excessively. Have a service contract with them with auto delivery. Contacted at 8:30am and they where out same morning at 11:30am even though they gave a timeframe of 12-3. Definitely recommend them hands down.

Horrible! I tried using them for two years, each time there was a problem. They over charged me by a couple hundred dollars when I signed up, delivered me more oil then I needed, which meant a higher bill. When I called to cancel they basically wouldn't let me and stated we will notify you when we will deliver to your home. So what do they do, deliver me $500 worth of oil at the end of February, I only use oil for heat, which they are aware of. They don't care about their customers, they only care about money. I will never use them again, and I will make sure to tell me friends and neighbors how horrible they are.
