I am a longtime customer, maybe 30 years. I have always had automatic delivery but this year, I have had to call each time my tank was low (something I never had to do in the past with "automatic delivery"). The latest call was two days ago. I did get a return call and an assurance that my oil would be delivered that day (I was between 1/4 and 1/8 of a tank). No oil yet and it has been two days since that call back. Now I am close to 1/8 of a tank, tomorrow is Sunday and there is a storm coming tonight. I am so disappointed with this part of the company. The oil delivery drivers are wonderful but the management of this business just does not work for me. I am planning to cancel my account and find another provider, one that will provide a more timely delivery. I am tired of putting my trust in Saveway and expecting them to come through with their promises.

Cancelled service in November because I had no oil, called numerous times, left messages and no return calls till I cancelled. Now trying to charge me for a service contact, but they never asked if I wanted to renew. Left additional messages, sent email and snail mail telling them again I had closed all my services with them. Have never contacted me concerning annual cleaning, provided no service but want to be paid and threatening turning over to collection.
Finally got through and Sarah was very helpful and said she would remove service contract and additional fees. Unfortunately took three months to get this done….
I feel for the employees….

Extremely unprofessional. I have been a customer with Saveway for a few years. I tried contacting them regarding an oil delivery and left them a few messages but never heard back. I understand they are busy, and that's not the issue. I just received a call back after a week of no contact, where the agent insisted that I spoke with her the previous day regarding a delivery. I explained to her that I have been leaving messages but I have not received a call back. The lady was extremely rude, she kept insisting that we spoke the previous day. I told her we never spoke and I explained to her that I already scheduled a delivery with another company because I couldn't get ahold of them, and I attempted to end the conversation. She continued to try and argue with me about how we already spoke before then she hung up the phone. I never review companies online but I was so taken back by how unprofessional, rude, and strange the whole conversation was. I'm glad I made the choice to go to another company.

I consider myself a loyal customer of over 40 years. I am on automatic delivery, never having to worry about the delivery. In the last week I noticed that I was down below a quarter of a tank. It is January and very cold. It took me over two days of leaving multiple messages before someone called me back with excuses of having multiple phone calls in the hundreds, weather condition, only 5 girls to answer the calls. I finally got the delivery (technician was very nice and friendly) but now I have over an $800.00 bill which I am very angry about needless to say the hours of frustration and worry that I was going to run out of oil. This kind of service is unacceptable. Saveway was a great company before selling out to the propane company. I want and need a reliable oil service.

I have been an automatic delivery customer for over 15 years. While Saveway's ad says that they have a "state of the art" system to calculate oil usage, I ran out of oil last February, which they told me was because bad weather and employee illnesses had backlogged their deliveries. I had to call them in November because my tank was almost empty and there hadn't been a delivery in 6 months. They then delivered a half tank of oil, because I was the last delivery of the day, and the truck only had a small amount of oil. They never delivered the other half of the order and when I called to tell them, once again I was below 1/4 of a tank, I was first told my delivery was scheduled for the following Monday. When the delivery wasn't made, I couldn't get anyone to call me back, until I called the emergency number. I was then told that even though I was an automatic delivery customer, I'd have to wait 5 to 7 business days for that delivery because it was a holiday week! When I asked to speak to someone in authority, they took my name and number, but no one ever called back. Luckily I was able to find another local company who could fill my tank l before I ran out, even though it was a holiday week, and it cost $250 less than Saveway! So much for being a loyal customer for all of these years. Goodbye!

Jennie was super helpful and patient with a recent issue I had. Unfortunately my issue was never rectified. This company is horrible as are all their affiliated companies such as Uncas Gas. Middle of winter and I personally know of four people in my neighborhood who have run out of propane on auto delivery. I came very close twice and had to hound the hell out of them when I finally could get someone on the phone. Needless to say I no longer have them and have gone with a different supplier.

First Hard winter in 3 years, and everyone is burning more oil due to the cold. We were running below a 1/4 of a tank for a few days and the home heating oil delivery driver would not come all the way down the driveway because of a patch of ice. Hours before we had propane delivered to our home with no issue. A bit distraught, my wife called Sarah at Saveway. She elevated the concern to a delivery manager, and scheduled another driver to delivery the next day. Matt (Saveway Petroleum) driver came out 2 hours earlier than scheduled, delivered 210 gallons, and adamantly refused a cash gratuity. The value in a company is how they handle problems. Matt and Sarah are pros !! Thank you Saveway Petroleum.

I spoke to Jenny Mix today to place a propane order post their Christmas vacation. She exemplified customer service going above and beyond in her efforts to assist me. I have been an Uncas Gas customer for fifteen years and spoke to Jenny in the past. Each time she was so pleasant, happy, outgoing, and professional. Today she let me know there were 300 voice mail messages requiring responses from UG/Jenny. Jenny’s job, especially today, was very stressful but her positive personality resulted in a courteous, and helpful interaction with me. Jenny treats people the way she would want to be treated!!
