Amazing location just outside of Homer with gorgeous views of Kachemak Bay!

We camped one night in the meadow, access is very easy and they have power outlets, hotplates, running water and a campfire area nearby in the pavilion. Make sure you set up your tent to wake up to a view of the mountains.

The beach hideaway cabin located right off the ocean was cozy and private, it had a comfortable bed and small wood stove for cooking and heating. We enjoyed the privacy and easy access to the beach where you get wide open views of the bay and mountains on the other side.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming, they definitely add to the charm of the place. Ask Mossy about the various birds that use the farm as a sanctuary and check with Conni about which wild plants the horses like to eat.

Would highly recommend to backpackers, birders, nature lovers, and anyone else looking to stay in Homer on a budget!

We stayed at Seaside Farm for 4 nights (1 in the Meadow and 3 at one of the cabins on the beach). It was a fantastic experience and our hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We also got to see lots of wildlife (rabbits, sandhill cranes, loons, spruce hens, and lots of songbirds). There is wifi near the main house and we had phone service, though we did our best to remain unplugged. This was definitely a 5-star camping experience and we will be recommending it to all of our friends and family.

Mossy’s Sea Side Farm is a true paradise that will give you priceless magical memories. She is one of the most amazing & brilliantly shining humans I’ve ever met & her home is beyond gorgeous. The prices she asks are a fraction of comparable market values. I spent a summer all over AK & Mossy’s wasn’t the fanciest, but it was definitely the dreamiest favorite. The vibe is incomparable & bonus- no fear of any bears around but TONS of beautiful birds

Fattoria vicino al mare molto bella e confortevole. La nostra stanza era molto grande e dalle finestre al mattino riuscivamo a vedere la bassa marea e i ghiacciai. Situata nella struttura centrale, con bagni in comune singoli, sempre puliti e curati. C'è una grande cucina e un salone dove poter preparare i cibi e fare qualche chiacchera con gli opsiti o con la proprietaria, molto gentile. Sono presenti anche piccoli chalet nel grande appezzamento di terra, che scende fino alla spiaggia isolata, dove si può passeggiare in tranquillità e osservare l'incantevole fenomeno delle maree. ||Grazie per il soggiorno. Torneremo!||||Farm near the sea very beautiful and comfortable. Our room was very large and from the windows in the morning we could see the low tide and the glaciers. Located in the central building, with single shared bathrooms, always clean and well kept. There is a large kitchen and a living room where you can prepare food. The owner Mossy was very kind. There are also small chalets in the large plot of land, which goes down to the isolated beach, where you can walk in peace and observe the tides.||Thanks for the stay. We'll be back!

Great peaceful place with an energizing vibe. The service and attention given to us were above average after 3 weeks of camping all over Alaska. The view from the place is breathtaking. Not far from the center. We highly recommend it.

Such a fun place to stay. Very unconventional, but very Homer. It's a hostel, so the main house is shared, rooms are fine, plenty of shared bathrooms. Outside tent camping is available for $15 and the view alone is worth it. Cool covered kitchen area for the tents, nice fire pit and it's common to share it with people from all over the world. I have not stayed in the cabins but there are many to choose from including a couple right next to the ocean.

Room: Dorm (7bd from memory).||I was the only guest so had my choice of beds and the one I took was quite comfortable, but in testing them out I found a few to be slightly less than desirable. But no worse then any other dorm in Alaska really.||The dorm room is quite large but only has access to a small common area and Kitchen downstairs - but FYI guests staying in the main area have a larger kitchen and what looked to be a quite comfortable lounge area. The rustic cabins also looked very cosy.||Also, as budget accomodation in Homer goes this is it, even if you do have to Taxi out/back each day I’m sure it would still be a huge saving however I had no problem hitch hiking - even with my backpack and groceries. But be aware it is some distance from Homer town and the Spit.||And yes it is rustic, and it is a working farm but it’s still extremely tranquil and Mossy is super very nice so I’d recommend and definitely stay again.||They just had a price increase which is now making it average value for the price given its location, but they are not claiming to be anything they aren’t and so for me it still scrapes in a four star, but any more expensive it would be three. Recommend it if your after a farm / cottage stay or just budget accomodation.||Tip: Make sure you visit Bear Creek Winery down the road, $5 tasting is definitely worth it!|

We called Seaside Farm on the Thursday before Labour Day weekend looking for accommodation for 8 people. At this stage we had called 20+ cabins around Homer and they were either booked out or they wouldn't accommodate a large group for one night only. However Mossy (our host) said she would squeeze us all into her hostel for a very reasonable $30 per person.||When we got there we all fell in love with the place, our hostel had everything we needed, kitchen, shower, clean bathrooms and even though there was 8 of us in the room it was still spacious. We were then shown around outside to the firepit overlooking the sea, the loo with a view, and were shown the way to the beach only a 5 minute walk away. ||Our host couldn't have been any nicer, I would fully recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in Homer. We were a group of 21-26 year olds, however there appeared to be a mixture of groups there.
