The photo on the right, lush green turf, is my lawn in August 2022. On the left is my lawn September 2023. I have used Shannon for fertilizer, weed and pest control for the 2023 season. Need I say more?

Addendum: Oct. 2023 - Under their warranty program, and at no expense to me, Shannon sent a consultant and performed the required lawn repair. My lawn is now much improved. I felt it was necessary to add this addendum to thank Shannon for their response and their prompt remediation. Two additional photos show the dramatic improvement.

Shannon Landscaping rescued our yard from certain death! Having moved into our new home in April, we knew that we needed a new lawn but didn’t know where to turn. Everyone we called just cut lawns, they didn’t install new ones. Then we remembered Shannon Landscaping from when we lived in Stratford. A few days later, Karen came out to evaluate our situation and recommended a full reinstall and grading to eliminate low spots that was causing water to pool, that was killing our grass. After they killed off the weeds that took over the yard, they set off to bring back our yard. The team did a spectacular job and the only heavy lifting that I had to do was watering the newly sown grass seed per their recommendation. I am proud to say that we have our yard back again and I highly recommend Shannon Landscaping!

I used Shannon landscaping for a few seasons and initially, everything went well. I mowed twice a week and Shannon Landscaping handled all of the fertilizer and weed prevention, etc. This year started off great but after my last lawn care application on the front lawn, the grass quickly started to yellow and die off. Shannon does not maintain my backyard at all and coincidentally, that grass is alive and well!
I let Shannon Landscaping know that it looked like the last lawncare application burned my grass and it has been excuse after excuse since then. I mow too often, my blades are too dull, its too hot and humid when I mow, the mower deck isn't high enough....somehow those issues only impacted the front lawn that I pay Shannon $300 a year to maintain. The back that gets mowed at the same time and frequency as the front is still green and doing well.
Luckily for me, I had a soil test done before I started using Shannon Landscaping so it was easy to get another soil test done and see what changed. Well the phosphourous levels in my front lawn have TRIPLED since Shannon landscaping started maintaining it. I mentioned this to the manager (Robin Del Valle) and she claims Shannon Landscaping doesn't use any products that contain phosphorous. I don't fertilize the front lawn that I already pay someone else to fertilize so I guess the Phosphorous levels magically tripled on their own. I'm okay with mistakes happening. I'm not okay with a company that won't own up to their mistakes. Stay far away from this business.

Friendly but mediocre...
Despite what appear to be best efforts, I cannot say that Shannon can produce and guarantee results. I was underwhelmed last summer when the weed control program was limited in ridding my yard of weeds. When I brought this to the dispatcher's attention, on multiple occasions I was told that there are other extenuating circumstances like temperature and humidity that make their treatments less effective. Early this year, as I saw my yard rife with weeds and Shannon had already been out, I was told I need to be patient. Most recently, my yard has gotten grass fungus. When I inquired about treatment, I was sent a proposal with a "per visit" cost structure. I was told that one treatment may not be sufficient and not to "expect miracles". Asking the question multiple times in different ways, Shannon was great at talking around my question without providing an answer or being able to guarantee their work. It leaves me to wonder how much value are they actually adding if they cannot guarantee their work?

We were expecting Shannon quality but the service we got was above and beyond.
The team , with Karen’s (hope I got the name right) walk through, was so meticulous in their attention to detail. We were amazed at their knowledge along with an understanding of our style.
We are committed to the weekly service we have for this season but would consider expanding our relationship with Shannon in the future.

Shannon Landscaping does an amazing job! They’ve done my lawn care for 3 years now and my lawn has never looked better! Recently, I was injured and couldn’t do my fall leaf work. Shannon did such an amazing clean up that I may just use them every year and save my weekends! (The owners are wonderful people too!!)

I saw a landscaping job you did in Milford. I had to stop by your garden center. I stopped by today. I’ve never seen so many healthy plants. The quality and selection is unbelievable. I wish I could buy all of your plants. It was worth the drive!

I met Terry and we just clicked when I asked about my lawn he educated me first I brought dirt samples in for him this was our lawn so I told him about my garden I brought dirt in he checked it he told me what to do and why he again educated me.This year our garden of 3 raised beds was full of thick stalks giving us endless tomatoes and cherry tomatoes to celery was huge.Our lawn with his help is on its way to thriving to be the best yard on the street.Went in to learn how to do it right and game out knowing I was doing it right.DONT I REPEAT DONT go to the big box places it's more expensive and it's low quality just picture all his products be 100 times better than those guys and alot less.The people at Shannon's are awesome and will help you and not bust your wallet and you get an education.Oh yeah he told me my neighbors were going to ask what I did to my lawn within one day my neighbor called and said what are you doing to your lawn.Many thanks to those guys and the owners and Terry a thousand times for your help
