We stopped in Star for the first time on the chance that we would find some hooks and curtain rods. This was our first visit and I’m glad we did. This is definitely your old fashion hardware store and provides a much more relaxed and pleasant experience than shopping in a big box store. The staff was attentive and guided us to the location of the items we needed. From there we decided just to browse through their aisles. Prices were reasonable and the store well stocked. The three store cats manage the store and definitely enjoyed our attention as we paid the cashier. While we do not live close and have our own local hardware store, we will definitely take a trip here again to shop!

This store is trash. Everyone in there is a grubby beast and the employees suck. The employees were rude and judged me on my appearance for being beautiful. They gave me dirty looks and were acting like I didn’t know what I was talking about and I’m almost 100% sure it’s because I’m a gorgeous young woman and all the employees are 90 year old brats who don’t know how to work a job. They said BUH BYE in a rude tone to me in the way out and just spoke in the harshest tone ever this business should be shut down and burned at the stake.

Nice little hometown hardware store. A little bit of everything. Prices are decent and on par with the box stores. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely return for my hardware needs in the future. Enjoyed the cats running around the store.

Always a good place when you need something quickly. However customer service is hardly on point, the older lady Ive heard talk with a bad attitude to their young front staff. She hardly cracks a smile, its a shame in a small place like this. Don’t go in here first thing in the AM. You'll hardly get a hello, or what can I do for you unless its the young cashiers or the gentleman named Kevin.
