My girlfriend and I stumbled upon Sunset Nurseries and are so glad we did! We've been back twice and still haven't seen the whole selection. But we had to honor of chatting with Greg(Smitty) and his wife. They are extremely friendly and caring people. The plants we purchased were a great product and low price. I would pay more because of the warm feeling you're greeted with! Thank you for the experience! The picture is a Robin's nest that is treated with care and caution. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Smitty is hand feeding the mom real soon.

I'm giving this one star because it won't let you give 0. This is by far the worst customer service I have experienced through any company. Sunset Nurseries planted 12 trees on our property. One had a decent amount of brown from the start and when questioned, the owner said it would eventually bloom its green color. He said if it doesn't, that he would replace it.
Well, I wish that was the case as the owner never returned phone calls and in the rare opportunity he did, he would lie. During one of those times, he shared that the salt from the winter roads probably contributed to it's fate. When I said, "Well, it's the second one in from the road, how would it not effect the other tree?" He joked that "it's like people, some die and some don't." ......I'm still not laughing.
When I left a clearly upsetting voicemail, it took over a week for him to TEXT my husband that it has been a busy couple of weeks due to the delays the rainy weather has caused for his other jobs. In the same text, he said he would be over to replace it the next day. Never showed up. Never called. I bet you can guess how that ended up. Yes, I still have a dead ficus aligning my driveway. We are very understanding people that understand things happen. BUT, as a business you need to COMMUNICATE. DO NOT blatantly lie and tell us it will get done on a specific day when you don't show up or even have the decency to call.
His truck had also passed our house more than ONCE this week for his other job. If you want alive trees, great customer service, and all-around reliability, look elsewhere. Here is a picture of the trees. I know it's hard to tell which one is dead, so good luck.

Came across sunset nurseries on fb a few days back. We took a ride today to get some perennials for our new garden beds in front our our house. - Paul was SO helpful with brining our vision to life with color and scent can’t wait to get these flowers in the garden and see them flourish 🙂 certainly gained some customers for life!

After reading a review from a friend I decided to post one myself to corroborate that the same thing happened to me. About 5 years ago I purchased 5 willow trees and was promised that they would all survive where I chose to put them otherwise the owner would replace them.

After the first year I noticed 2 of the willows were not doing so well, so I made many phone calls that went unanswered. Finally he called me back and said they just needed fertilizer so he came a few weeks later and put the fertilizer down and told me to give them more time and they’ll be fine.

The following year one of the willows was completely dead and the other was a twig in the ground that was not growing and barely had any life to it. I called again and left messages after messages. Again it took me forever to get someone to call me back. The owner agreed to come and replace the completely dead one which he did about a month later. When he did this he told me that the other willow that looked like a twig would do fine.

The following year the twig AND the replacement willow were both dead. I called and called and no one answered or responded this time. If you make promises you have to keep them, the customer service lacks big time. On a brighter note, they planted a bunch of deer resistant Arborvitaes that all took. They also promised to replace those if they didn’t make it. Based on my willow experience, I’m thankful I didn’t have to call them back for replacement Arborvitaes.

I have to say this is the first time I visited and it was the last. The lady that works up at the area where the cashier shed is, is just blatantly rude!!! She just couldn't be bothered with you. Honestly, I swear she thought I asked her to donate her kidney. Everything was met with that "sigh", like you were really pissing her off. Will never go back there.

Awesome to deal with and very knowledgeable. Around our pool and out front of our house looked spectacular, also fixed the drainage around house we haven’t had water in our basement since. Highly recommend!

The staff at Sunset Nurseries is friendly and knowledgeable. Someone quickly inquires if you need help finding a selection. The variety is great. I have found what I want here when no one else has the item.
