The backbone of the communities in the quiet corner of Connecticut. If you need it, they can feed it. Food pantry/markets in more than a few towns. Gardens on the property, harvesting fresh vegetables. Getting special-needs kids to school, bringing people to medical appointments, Book exchanges.

The services that are provided at the Thompson location is fantastic. We are very fortunate to have TEEG in town. Elizabeth Perry and her staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. I volunteer during the holidays and I am learning so much and enjoy spending time with other volunteers. I highly recommend seeing them for any assistance you need in your life.

I have had great success with the food Bank. My question now is who do I contact for utility help? I have a payment plan in place however, I am now out of work due to an injury and my fmla is unpaid.

A local community helping agency, TEEG gives back to the people it serves. The folks here are no "run of the mill" group of individuals. They care about the job they have committed themselves to and work tirelessly to effect change, lift people up and create a better community. These aren't the social workers whose jobs end at 5 pm. These are the agents of change who know their job is never really done, that they will just be on to the next challenge. They work for the Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group because they have a deep and abiding faith that they can make a difference in the world, one person (or one family) at a time.

I was on time but the appointment was not, about a 1/2 hour late but the service was great so I don't mind having to wait to be served. It was done very quickly and double checked to verify the accuracy. Best of all the service was free for both State and Federal.
