This place deserves 5.0 stars the place is amazing. Me and my wife got married here two weeks ago and it went perfect and better than we can imagine after planning with such a short notice . The staff and service was spectacular and as far as the venue goes the price is budget friendly and accommodates for a very small or large group on whatever kind of events your throwing. Highly recommend this place for weddings, parties and more. We will definitely be back for a party or something 🔥.

As a wedding photographer, I see it all. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Shooting a wedding at Wood Acres Farm this past Sunday, I was witness to some of the most impressive and professional venue management/day-of coordination I've seen in my 7 years in business.

Long story short, the day of coordinator, Lisa, was on her third full wedding of the weekend and had not gotten much sleep three nights running. She had an early start that day to boot. And to top it off, rain was threatening to change the ceremony plans all day, but the final decision wasn't reached until literally 15 minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to start: the couple chose to move inside. I watched her handle the whole thing with grace, speed, and kindness. It is no small feat to move a ceremony from one location to another in such a short amount of time, but she managed so many moving parts and so many different people and she pulled it off with a smile on her face. It was a pleasure (actually, it was a joy) working with her. She made everyone there feel like a team, and she kept everyone informed the entire day. She even prioritized vendor meals, which is highly unusual in the best of times. I cannot wait to work there again and I'm so grateful for all of her hard work that day. It helped us all do our best work, which helps ensure the couple had the best experience possible.

Had our granddaughters wedding here last night. Absolutely fantastic venue. Lisa was very supportive and kept things moving. Horse and carriage were magnificent.. hayride Thursday night and bonfire were great. Highly recommend here

We are full-time wedding photographers, and we had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Wood Acres Farm on a beautiful fall day. It’s a tremendous mix of being a venue yet feeling like you’re on the farm complete with the barn, pond, and horses. Getting a horse-drawn carriage ride on your wedding day is exceptional and a dream come true for many, no doubt. The little details like the hanging lights on the porch and cute stage space for the sweetheart table add a lot to the atmosphere, too. The staff was continually helpful, attentive, and caring. All of the guests seemed to have a sensational time! We hope to be back in the future to photograph more memorable weddings.

My husband and I had our wedding at Wood Acres in September 2022. The grounds are well maintained and staff, Joyce and Ken were a pleasure to work with. Joyce was our day of coordinator and kept everything running very smoothly. If there were any hiccups, I wasn’t aware because she solved anything that might have come up! The venue is stunning. Our guests adored the horse drawn carriage rides, the outdoor bar/outdoor area, and the gorgeous barn. The bridal cottage was a beautiful area to go a relax, freshen up, and to take photos. We cannot say enough good things about Wood Acres and would recommend it to anyone in search of a venue with a rustic, unique feel!

Wood Acres Farm is the most amazing place!!. The staff is friendly and accommodating. This would be the best wedding venue for anyone for any type of gathering...my pick if it were me. I had a chance to visit with the magnificent horses for a Christmas themed weekend including Santa .I had the best time... It feels like you're visiting your favorite family members and hanging with your closest friends. Shout out to my elf friend Taylor who greeted me at the front reception table and all the amazing staff I met the last two days.😉🤠

Beautiful setting for an October wedding. Staff and owners were extraordinary helpful. The venue inside is rustic but very elegant at the same time. Great little hidden gem in Terryville. I would recommend checking this establishment out for any type of venue.

Wood Acres Farm provided us the space for our dream wedding. A month later and I'm still obsessing over how great the day was. Lisa, Joyce, and Taylor, especially, were such a pleasure to work with. They were able to bring all of my ideas to life and create the most enchanted day, exceeding all of my expectations. Our guests raved about everything including the beautiful atmosphere, the horse and carriage ride, the lovely porch, and the beautifully rustic indoor reception area. If I could do it all over again, I'd get married at Wood Acres a hundred for times. If you're looking for a beautiful hidden gem in CT, this is your place.
