Got my first bonsai from here about a year ago, and just bought a second one today. They are so knowledgeable and helpful. It’s always a delight coming here and I leave feeling extremely capable of taking care of my plants once I leave from there!

This is a hidden gem? of all nurseries I visited so far. The place is kept by two generations, mother and daughter who are masters of their craft. You'll notice right away that the plants and flower are as healthy as can be. This is a nursery of quality and art from flowers to plants to bonsai trees ?. You'll remember when I say this is a place You'll always come back to!

It’s always fun to stumble onto a great find. I’ve always found bonsai plants to be mildly interesting, intriguing. Well, this place sparked something! Such an amazing display of bonsai. From tiny little starter plants to small “gardens” already begun for you to amazing bonsai plants that must be decades old and even some astonishing bonsai “forests”. If you have ever curious about bonsai, or even if you haven’t, this is a wonderful place to visit! See my very first bonsai in the accompanying photo. Wish me luck!

The pictures speak for themselves.
Wide selection of stunning BONSAI TREES for indoor and outdoor!
The young Asian guy helped me through a nice explanation on which would be the best pick for me, he also explained me which ones are the best bonsais’ for inside and which ones are best for the outside.
He also told me many things on how to take care of the plant.
I got educated about bonsai trees!! Nice experience!! Will be back!

Great selection and prices. From succulents to bonsai, pots and gravel. Happy to have found variegated string of pearls on my latest visit. Great staff too.

West LA is park poor, but this nursery is so beautiful it makes up for it in spades. Wandering around, I forget about daily problems and fall in the moment, appreciating nature. There are a few highlights here. First, it’s like a bonsai museum. Second, they have a nice selection of indoor plants, such as the snake plant (also known as the mother in laws tongue). Third, they have special soils, tools, and nutrients for bonsai plants. There are sometimes a few parking spaces in the back, inside the gates, along Sawtelle.

I am utterly disgusted by my recent experience at Yamaguchi Bonsai Nursery. The staff’s rudeness was shocking and completely unacceptable. Having purchased a bonsai from them before, I expected a level of respect that was blatantly missing. The serene beauty of their plants and trees is completely overshadowed by the hostile and disrespectful behavior of the staff. This experience was not just disappointing, it was infuriating. I will never return, and I strongly urge others to stay away. Yamaguchi Bonsai Nursery has lost a customer for life.

The service provided was disappointing, especially considering the high cost. They billed me $250 for delivery to my location, which is roughly 7 miles away, and upon arrival, only one person was available, limiting the delivery to the garage only. In contrast, when purchasing plants from other nurseries, their delivery teams consistently offer assistance in placing the items precisely where we need them.
