My wife and I recently visited Young's at Three Rivers to get ideas for sprucing up our backyard area. Marta was very professional, pleasant and knowledgable, making excellent suggestions on what would work based on our soil and sun exposure. I also worked with the contractor Matt to plant the shrubbery. His team was quick and did a fantastic job. We are extremely pleased with the results, the finished product looks amazing. I recently had a section of my yard both designed and landscaped by Youngs Nursery. The selection of trees and shubs are beautiful and unique. I cannot say enough good about their landscape designer, Marta Ripperger, she was wonderful and is outstanding in her field. Marta took an empty corner of my yard, drew out a design with us and turned it into a work of art which we love. Her knowledge of every tree, shrub and plant is very impressive. Her landscape planting team led by EMJAY Property Services, Matt Mucciacciaro and is assistants was also phenomenal!! Their patience and care with placing every plant to Martas instruction was simply outstanding. Marta supervised and Matt delivered. I highly recommend the team of Youngs Nursery, their wonderful landscape designer Marta and the very patient & professional planting team of EMJAY Property Services, Matt & his guys!!

We ordered mulch and garden soil last summer. The prices we reasonable and delivery was on time. Customer service was great! The delivery driver was very patient with us and dumped the material exactly where we needed it. This year we're going to buy some fruit trees. Highly recommend Young's!

We purchased a weeping cherry from Young's and had them plant it on our property. Rick was extremely helpful during the selection phase and the guys were extremely patient with us as we fussed about the positioning of the tree, during planting. We would have no hesitation in recommending Young's and plan to return this year for an additional feature tree.

We’ve worked with Rick at Young’s on two different occasions and couldn’t be happier with the results. We had Young’s plant a row of Green Giant Arborvitaes in our backyard for privacy, and they have grown large and beautiful. We very recently had them plant some hemlocks and other plants such as ferns and astilbes and they are doing wonderfully too. Great service and great products!

Young’s at Three Rivers

I bought 4 arborvitae trees from Young’s Nursery in Woodbury CT last spring. They were planted and a while later were looking droopy. I didn’t understand what the problem was, so I called the sales person who came, took a look, and told me that they were fine. About five days later I called again because the trees were looking worse, and he told me he would come to examine the trees again. I had also sent him photos. He never came back. I called the office several times, only to be told the he was having personal problems and was absent from work. He later quit. They didn’t offer to send someone in his place at the time. Later they told me that they were sorry I didn’t like his customer service!
Now the fourth tree is looking pretty sick. They told me I shouldn’t have removed the now dead trees so they could have inspected them, funny in retrospect since no one was coming over anyway. The nursery has refused to do anything to compensate me. The 3 trees cost me $1,500. Although they did offer 25% off on anything else I purchased. As if they weren’t having a sale anyway.
Someone finally did take a look at the last remaining tree. She told me there was a drought and blamed me for not watering the tree more.
I would avoid doing business with them. My salesperson is the second salesperson that has left in 6 months. Rick was great but he is gone. They don’t stand behind their customer service or what they sell.

Last Spring I purchased about a dozen trees and shrubs from Young's at Three Rivers. At that time it was very difficult to find plant material but Young's had everything I was looking for. The plants were not only available but were good size and healthy. Young's was also able to carefully transport them to their new home in Lakeville where they seem to be thriving. I will definitely be purchasing more from them.
